Akshara Fertility Center offers egg donor, sperm donor, embryo donor and surrogacy services for the needed couples.
Donor Egg:
The ideal donor is young and must pass comprehensive screening procedures which include medical and psychological examinations, genetic testing, drug screening, and testing for sexually transmitted infections.
If you choose to pursue an anonymous donor through the Akshara Fertility Center, you are asked to provide a description of the ideal candidate as well as a photo of yourself. When a donor is found that matches your specifications, you are provided with the comprehensive donor profile including: height, weight, eye color, the results of a psychological evaluation, and genetic testing reports.
Frozen donor eggs may also be used and may reduce your treatment wait time. The Akshara Fertility Center uses eggs from our own donor egg bank or those from registered ART Bank.
Donor Sperm:
Donor Sperm can make parenthood possible for many patients. The team at our Akshara Fertility Center can work with you to help make the best choice for your family similar to Egg donor process. Donor will undergo a rigorous physical exam and testing for sexually transmitted and infectious diseases. After that, semen sample to be analyzed for sperm count, motility (movement) and morphology (shape). Then, a sperm sample is selected for frozen for six months and retested to ensure health and quality. Akshara Fertility Center uses eggs from our own donor egg bank or those from registered ART Bank.
Donor Embryo:
Women with unexplained or untreatable fertility issues are good candidates for conceiving with donor embryos. It’s also an option for couples with genetic disorders and other medical conditions that might not be able to otherwise welcome a baby.
Surrogacy:
Gestational surrogacy is a form of third party reproduction. The process involves a woman (known as the surrogate mother or the gestational carrier) who carries and gives birth to a baby who isn’t biologically related to her. Providing this service to another human being is one of the most meaningful gifts anyone can give.
