Dr. K. Rajarajan
DVM, MS, PhD, Fellow (Harvard & Stanford, USA).
Dr. Rajarajan is the Founder Director, IVF Lab Director, and Chief Clinical
Embryologist at Akshara Fertility Center in Anna Nagar, Chennai.
An Indo-American qualified Clinical embryologist, Dr. Rajarajan possesses over 15 years of expertise in IVF, ICSI, IMSI, Egg and Embryo Freezing, PGT-A (Preimplantation Genetic Screening), PGT-M (Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis) with NGS, and advanced cutting-edge stem cell applications. Under his leadership, Akshara Fertility Center boasts an IVF success rate exceeding 85%.
For higher studies, Dr. Rajarajan took Reproductive Physiology (Assisted Reproductive Technology) & Obstetrics and Gynecology as his major and minor subjects respectively. During his master's he worked in the area of Reproductive Physiology- In Vitro Culture of Pre-Antral Follicles. After completing his master's studies, Dr. Rajarajan accepted a Central Government position as Scientist at the Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) in Hyderabad, one of India’s most prestigious scientific institutions. There, his research focused on IVF techniques, Embryo Genomics, Cryopreservation, and Cloning. Dr. Rajarajan secured First Rank in the All India Entrance Examination for Doctoral Studies and went on to pursue a PhD in IVF and Embryo Genomics, and began working in clinical embryology and IVF.
He further honed his expertise through Fellowships at Harvard and Stanford Universities-World Top Ranking Universities, working on groundbreaking embryology and stem cell technologies at Massachusetts General Hospital (the top-ranked hospital in the USA) and the Harvard Stem Cell Institute. Dr. Rajarajan also worked as a Clinical Embryologist at several private fertility centers in the San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles, California, USA. With over a decade of hands-on experience in the USA, Dr. Rajarajan brings this exceptional blend of scientific and clinical expertise to Akshara Fertility Center, Chennai, where he drives the center’s mission to be an innovative and patient-focused fertility center. He also freelanced as a Clinical Embryologist, offering services to around 15 fertility centers in and around Chennai.

Dr. Sharmili
MBBS., DGO., DNB O&G., DRM (Germany).
Dr. Sharmili is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Fertility specialist.
She has vast experience in this field. She earned her MBBS with distinction
in OBGYN from esteemed Government Stanley Medical College and her DGO from
the Prestigious Madras Medical College's Institute of Obstetrics and
Gynaecology. She is a diplomat of the National Board (DNB OG), New Delhi.
She also pursued an Advanced Diploma in ART and Reproductive Medicine from
Kiel's University, Germany.
In addition to her extensive knowledge and experience in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology , She has a special interest in Assisted Reproductive Techniques, Female and male fertility issues. She is known for her patience and empathy towards all her patients.
She takes special interests in patients with recurrent IVF failures, endometriosis and PCOS. She is giving the highest success rate for IVF patients at Akshara Fertility Center, Anna Nagar, Chennai.
